I have a really bad fear of going to the dentist. I needed a filling removal and replaced. Rob was absolutely brilliant. He was very patient as he knew how I felt.I no when I do have to go back I will still have that fear but knowing that rob and Jane will do everything they can to help and make me feel comfortable. Attended Seaham smiles today with my dentist Stacey, after loosing a filling, she fully explained all the options and I opted for a new filling. The proceedure was fully explained and I must say I felt so safe and reassured in her safe hands, never once did I feel any pain and reassurance was given at all times. I am absolutely over moon with my implants, the whole experience from the initial consultation to the end product was fantastic .The dynamic duo Nigel and Ellie were friendly, attentive and professional throughout. Nigel was informative , passionate and knowledgeable about his work and my procedure ahead . Mam had to see her dentist, Jia, after chipping a tooth from a fall. In less than an hour's appointment, Mam had been fully checked out and had her tooth built back up to look like a normal tooth again. Brilliant service, my Mam was delighted.

I have recently joined Seaham Smiles as it was impossible to get appointments with my previous dentist!I have just had 2 lots of root canal fillings with Megan, and must say what a brilliant dentist she is.My tooth feels better now than it has for year's.I was expecting some pain after the anaesthetic had worn off, but absolutely no pain at all, and didn't feel a thing.I have future appointments booked with Megan and can honestly say, Ihave no fear whatsoever.I'm so pleased to have joined Seaham Smiles and wish I had done it years ago.Many thanks to Megan.Joan Bowen

If you can have a fantastic experience visiting your dental practise, this was as good as it gets. I needed a tooth implant following a crown fracture (not fitted at Seaham Smiles) and was referred to Nigel Suggett. From initial consultation through to final treatment the communication and care was outstanding. The treatment plan and pricing structure documented and clear and followed throughout. Had a wisdom tooth extraction done yesterday and I cannot praise Nathan and Ellie enough. Being an extremely nervous/anxious patient they were so reassuring, friendly and made sure i felt at ease. They didn’t rush things, they took time to make sure I was ok during the procedure and even called me today to check how I was doing. Both Nathan and Ellie are an absolute credit to the team. Can’t rate this practice high enough. From first walking through the door all staff are friendly, welcoming and professional. I was referred to Nigel and his team by my regular dentist, for an extraction and an implant . During my first consultation everything was explained to me , step by step, so I knew exactly what to expect which stopped any worries or concerns. My appointments were always on time with no cancellations or rearranging. So happy with the result. Would definitely recommend! Thank you Nigel and Ellie

Been going here for over 10 years. Been to a few in the Durham area & none are as good as Seaham Smiles. Rob who is my Dentist is by far the best I’ve had. I used to hate going to the dentists (hate needles) but Rob’s fab and now it’s not an issue. Can’t recommend them enough. If I could give them 6 stars I would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have recently had 2 implants with a 3 teeth Bridge fitted by Nigel Suggett. I cannot recommend Nigel and his dental nurse Elisha highly enough. From start to finish Nigel explained each process and I was kept fully informed. The whole process took 13 weeks but it was so worth the wait. I am really pleased with my new teeth and feel much more confident as I am able to eat better, talk better without having the gap in my mouth and more importantly I'm able to smile with confidence 😀 so.... a massive thank you to Nigel and Elisha. What I liked about Nigel is how he makes it so easy to understand the process from beginning to end. He explains everything clearly and made me feel relaxed when I felt nervous about certain procedures.I will definately recommend to friends and family. I don’t know where I would start 😭 from being horrified from many experience's from previous dentists, To finding this absolute GEM at Seaham Smiles.From walking in and meeting MEGAN she has just changed my life completely. Giving me my smile back, my dignity and my confidence, everyone who works their are helpful and even though they don’t know it from walking in to an immaculate clinic and seeing the smiles from the staff, helped with my nervous! I’ll be forever grateful 😊🥰 and I’m not scared anymore 😊🤭. I’m signing all my family to Seaham smiles 😊.

Recently I had to arrange an emergency appointment at short notice as I was going away on holiday a few days later and was concerned about the pain I was experiencing due to toothache!I saw Stacey and Michelle who were both fantastic. They showed empathy and a high level of care and concern. Stacey quickly identified that one of my teeth had cracked and asked me to return only an hour later after lunch for further treatment. When I returned she carried out a variety of procedures to fix and treat the problem. This took around 40 minutes. She went above and beyond expectations at such short notice to deal with the matter very efficiently, even though I was an NHS client. She fixed the problem so that I could go away pain free and enjoy my holiday!I will be returning for further treatment and I would l like to thank both Stacey and Michelle for their help. I have been a client since Nigel took over the business from Mr Robson and have always had great care! I can thoroughly recommend Seaham Smiles for all your dental needs and I am now considering moving on to the Dental Care Plan.

After suffering with sore and bleeding gums for a long time, a consultation with Rob and Rebecca suggested a deep clean coupled with a course of antibiotics to address the underlying issue. Pleased to say that this worked a treat and it’s lovely to have healthy gums again.

Although no one enjoys going to the dentist, Seaham Smiles makes it a much nicer experience. The staff are all friendly and professional.My dentist Dr Robert Hetherington is great, he takes the time to explain each procedure, showing the problem via x-rays or by a detailed explanation and he is meticulous in carrying it out the work. His assistant Jane is also extremely competent. Overall from my experience over the last 5 or so years I can highly recommend them.

I have been seeing Matt for my dental treatment, amazing dentist puts you at ease immediately having not been a fan of going to the dentist in the past was very anxious. Matt was great from walking in the door, the receptionists and the dental nurses are all lovely definitely recommend Seaham smiles to family and friends

I was seen today by your hygienist Rebecca, she always does a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. She puts you at ease straight away and is very polite and pleasant. Gives advice on how best to keep your teeth and gums healthy. I can not recommend her highly enough, she is a credit to your practice.Thanks again Rebecca.

Visited Seaham Smiles today for a planned dental treatment-filling of back tooth.Stacey Fenwick - dentist completed the procedure. I was nervous to be having the procedure as it was my first ever local anaesthetic oral injection and I was unsure what to expect during the procedure.Stacey was amazing, from entering the room Stacey put me at easy and explained every step of the procedure. Stacey is professional and friendly and I soon felt at ease.Stacey explained in detail the aftercare and answered all my questions.I would definitely go back to Stacey should I need any further dental work completing.Would highly recommend visiting Seaham Smiles and in particular Stacey.

I can’t recommend implants enough I spent 10+ years with a large gap and didn’t realise how this changes how you eat to your face shape. From the initial consultation with options available to the aftercare has been nothing but five star treatment from Nigel and Elisha. My only regret is that I didn’t do it years ago and I wouldn’t think twice about doing it again.

I had a dental emergency which could not wait. I tried 15 different dentists closer to home before Seaham Smiles went above and beyond to get me in to see a dentist ASAP.I saw Matt who was absolutely brilliant. I had to have an extraction of a broken tooth which came out in several bits but Matt was very calming and kept me at ease throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the surgery to anyone.Thanks for all your help today

6 years ago we joined this practice as we heard it was family friendly. My daughter who was 3 years old at the time had a huge fear of the dentist, we had even been asked to leave our last practice due to her hysterical crying. Today she had to have a tooth removed as it was causing problems for her big tooth. While she was brave it would not have been possible using local anaesthetic without the fantastic work from Nigel and the rest of the team. Thank you Seaham Smiles!
